Bio

Katherine has a 25-year proven track record delivering award-winning factual television for networks such as SBS, Disney, National Geographic, Discovery, AB

C and the BBC.  While Katherine has worked across a diverse slate of factual genres and production roles, spanning directing, writing, producing and research, producing science content is a particular strength and has encompassed collaborations with academic institutions, research agencies across Australia and internationally.

Prior to joining the NESP team, Katherine collaborated with the multidisciplinary team at the Flinders University Sleep Institute to write and produce the three-part documentary series Australia’s Sleep Revolution with Dr Michael Mosley for SBS.   The series won numerous high-profile scientific and creative awards, including Best Science Program winner, at the prestigious World Congress of Science.

Ultimately, Katherine is a people person who enjoys nurturing collaborative relationships with scientific contributors, key stakeholders and fellow crew members. Whether in development, directing on location, or in the edit suite, Katherine has strong editorial instincts for compelling stories that inspire action and drive change.

She graduated with honours in documentary from Murdoch University (2000).
