Bio
Dr Cresswell is an experienced environmental scientist with a demonstrated history of working with all parts of society to achieve sustainable development. He is skilled in conservation, biodiversity, environmental awareness, natural resource management and marine governance. He is a strong operations professional with a PhD in environmental science from Murdoch University.
Dr Cresswell is highly regarded for delivery of targeted products designed to meet the needs of industry, government, key stakeholders and the broader community. He is experienced in ministerial and high-level official engagement. Dr Cresswell was the lead author for the biodiversity chapter of the 2016 State of the Environment (SoE) report, and is currently the co-chief author of the 2021 SoE report, as well as author of numerous book chapters and scientific papers on Australian conservation, land and sea management and Indigenous land management.
