Aleta is a communications professional with 30 years of experience in the media, science, university and government sectors supported by a working knowledge as a television and radio news producer/reporter, a media adviser to state and federal politicians and communications manager to state, national and regional science institutions.
With a passion for communicating research to inform decisions for a more sustainable future, she has gravitated towards roles at the intersection of science, conservation, innovation, and impact for the global good. Most recently she has been working with world-leading scientists to amplify research with a focus on sustainable solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
At the National Environmental Science Program Resilient Landscapes Hub Aleta will work to raise the profile of the Hub’s research into resilience, sustainability and productive practices to support government, industry, Indigenous organisation, and community-based management of Australia’s terrestrial and freshwater habitats.
