Adapt Land & Sea
As a Knowledge Broker with the Resilient Landscapes Hub, Anne’s focus is helping people, knowledge and practice come together to strengthen climate resilience and environmental management. Her role is to build relationships and facilitate knowledge sharing between researchers, policymakers, practitioners and communities, to improve the resilience of Australia’s terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems.
Anne has also been involved in the Hub’s Adapt Land & Sea project, contributing her expertise in communication, engagement and climate adaptation.
Anne has built her career around ‘boundary spanning’: connecting people, ideas and expertise to support positive outcomes for communities and the environment.
With a multidisciplinary background in science, climate adaptation, natural resource management, and strategic communication and engagement, she enjoys working across sectors, disciplines and perspectives to address complex challenges.
Anne’s drive is to bring together scientific, Indigenous, local and practitioner knowledge to strengthen resilience and environmental decision-making. She has worked with researchers, governments, industry, practitioners and communities in Australia and internationally. Her experience includes collaborations with organisations such as CSIRO, Griffith University, NCCARF and AIMS contributing to research and practice in climate adaptation, resilience, natural resource management and community engagement.
Outside her professional work, Anne is actively involved in her local region in community-led, place-based resilience initiatives that strengthen social connections, preparedness and collective responses to change.
