Connecting research in WA’s Fitzroy catchment

7 March 2018

There is significant interest in expanding economic development in the Kimberley’s Fitzroy River catchment, and a suite of Hub research projects are aiming to inform sustainable development decisions in the region. Research teams from these projects gathered in Perth last week to explore connections between projects and identify how to add value to individual projects through cross-project activities and products relevant to decision-makers in the region. They also discussed how to maximise the usefulness of the research, including how best to support the WA Government in its commitments for catchment management and national parks in the Fitzroy. A new transdisciplinary research project will assist teams in the Fitzroy region, as well as inform future work. More information on this new project will be available soon.
