Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an environmental scientist working in northern Australia? This 50-second video provides a glimpse into some of the factors that Professor Michele Burford and her team have to deal with in their work in the Gulf of Carpentaria. They’re investigating how rivers influence the health of the Gulf’s coastal systems and as you’ll see, even getting to their sample sites isn’t easy! Conveying the true scale and complexity of these environments is a challenge, and it’s important to appreciate the lengths Hub researchers go to in order to deliver science to support sustainable development in the north.
