Researchers study Christmas Island giant gecko to find out how it is surviving

9 January 2024

‘While other reptile species were vanishing, the Christmas Island giant gecko persisted, seemingly untouched and unscathed.’

Dr JP Emery recently spoke to ABC News about the Christmas Island giant gecko.

The elusive species is the focus of a NESP research project he is working on, along with Dr Eric Nordberg from the University of New England and Dr Nicholas Macgregor from Parks Australia.
