What are your research interests as they relate to northern Australia?
Northern Australia has myriad important features of which best possible group decision-making is desirable in order to properly manage them. My research interest is fundamentally focused on how groups make best possible decisions in an environment of disaggregated and uncertain information. I have found that my research interest and the desire to properly manage Northern Australia in a sustainable way align well with one another. Whilst my post doctoral work may best be described as mathematical economics, as an electrical engineer for much of my working life, I have enjoyed the implementation from mathematical designs into real world tools and applications.
What do you love about working in northern Australia?
My family and I absolutely love living in Northern Australia. Born and raised in Northern Australia, I have always found that the community is as beautiful as its landscape. In my work in Northern Australia I have participated in solving only some of the many community development puzzles. It is an understatement to say I love puzzles. So I look forward to continuing my contribution where I can going forward.
