What are your research interests as they relate to northern Australia?

My research interests are in working at the interface of multiple ways of knowing and governing northern Australian landscapes, and the collaborative use of multiple knowledges to inform decision-making mechanisms and outcomes for Indigenous land and sea management enterprises. I am interested in working with Indigenous Ranger groups in northern Australia to support Indigenous-led and co-designed research projects.

What do you love about working in northern Australia?

I love the diversity of northern Australia. Through my work I have had the opportunity to learn numerous languages (Kriol, Pitjantjatjara and Kunwinjku so far), been told many stories of cultural and environmental management practices, experienced wet season storms, build-up sunsets and dry season sunny skies, and met endlessly fascinating people. It is a privilege to work in northern Australia!
