Sharing knowledge from our Canberra Research Forum

1 May 2019

5200 kilometres is a long way to go to share NESP Northern Hub research, but it was worth the distance…!

Hub researchers and partners travelled from far and wide to present project findings at our recent Canberra Research Forum. We presented at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and at the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment – sessions included videos and perspectives from research users, and these were followed by lunch-time discussions and targeted afternoon meetings. The Forum received excellent feedback – see this short video for highlights of the trip and see this collation of follow-up resources including presentations, films and factsheets.

Videos of most talks are also now available if you want to find out more on supporting fire management through carbon farming, the economic and other benefits of Indigenous land and sea management programs, knowledge brokering for Indigenous land management, mapping to manage threatened species across the north, getting back to Country, assessing mangrove dieback in the Gulf and understanding risks to shorebirds and fisheries from reduced Gulf river flows.
