What are your research interests as they relate to northern Australia?

My research interests as they relate to northern Australia primarily revolve around the effects of climate change on biodiversity – temperature on corals, sea level rise and storm surge on littoral rainforest, and fire in the Australian tropical savanna. I analyse spatial data to inform the protection of northern Australia’s threatened species and communities.

What do you love about working in northern Australia?

I love working in northern Australia because it gives me the opportunity to see remote places. My favourite place in northern Australia to do research is the Great Barrier Reef because that’s where all the fishes are!
